Application
Critical
to the successful performance of all autoclaves used in the
Aerospace Composites Industry are the many flexible hoses
used inside the pressure vessel. Hoses must be capable of
rapid connection to product material 'tray/dolly': not collapse
under the full vacuum (28"-29" Hg) drawn on the
lines, as well as withstand the external positive pressures
exerted (typically plus 350°F): not absorb any moisture
from adhesive vapor fumes; be flexible and sturdy enough to
resist kinking when folded back along the sides of the chamber
when not in use.
